Giving a Voice to the Silence offers positive angles to the issue that faces those with mental illness. Living with Schizo-Affective Disorder and being able to share my experiences with others, is the best way I know how to pay it forward. Life can be difficult, my goal is to bring a bit of hope to a place where many feel there is none.

About

Her writing has taken her to focus not only writing short stories and but, more importantly, maintaining a blog to focus on Mental Illness Advocacy. Her writing is to educate those who live with Mental Illness and their families and bring the conversation out into the open in order to banish the stigma.

In addition, to help with her own challenges with Mental Illness, Kelly spends many days taking photographs and spending time outdoors in order to enjoy with calming effects of nature.  (Her photos can be found on her Website, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest)

Kelly as recently moved to the sunny East Coast of Tasmania with her partner, and with his encouragement has returned to writing and photography full-time.  While helping her find the perfect shot, he in turn has found the enjoyment in seeing the perfect picture and they have begun to collaborate on projects.
